“Don’t think too much about it; which male insect wouldn’t want to have a few female insects serving them?”
While they were chatting, a commotion suddenly erupted in the hall.
Two particularly eye-catching figures walked in, naturally distinct from other insects, strikingly attractive and vibrant.
Upon closer inspection, weren’t these Prince Tong Sui and General Bai Xingluo?
The surrounding insects gasped in surprise.
Recently, they had become the most discussed couple on the Star Network.
There were numerous claims of fighting side by side, of being the only one by each other’s side.
Those shipper insects were left dizzy, their excitement surpassing even that of watching a romantic drama.
However, considering the purpose of their visit to the marriage agency, could they be seeking a divorce?
Was the couple they shipped about to break up?
Some insects had already opened their light brain to film the scene.
The Star Network was flooded with cries of despair:
[Although I really crave Prince Tong Sui, I still have a bit of self-awareness. Only General Bai Xingluo is with him in the entire Empire; I will wish them well.]
[Are they really here for a divorce? But they don’t seem to have a bad relationship; they are still holding hands!]
[I suddenly remember seeing the marriage agency post a new regulation yesterday, link http://……]
[Are they going to change the female attendant to female partner?]
[So they’re not going to divorce. Yay! The couple I ship will never collapse!]
Tong Sui chose the previous service window, and it was still the same staff member.
“Hello again, I’m back,” he said.
The staff member covered his mouth, almost crying out in excitement, holding it back in consideration of customer decorum.
After a moment, he asked, “Do you remember me?”
“Yes, I do. I’m here today hoping you can help me update some information,” Tong Sui said, pulling Bai Xingluo closer. “He is my female partner.”
The staff member was thrilled for the second time!
He trembled as he opened the database. “No problem! I will update it for you right away.”
Moments later, Tong Sui and Bai Xingluo’s light brains chimed simultaneously.
The staff member said, “Alright, you can check it now.”
Tong Sui opened his light brain.
He saw the new notification.
[Imperial Marriage Agency: Congratulations, dear citizen Tong Sui. Your partner Bai Xingluo is now your female partner!]
Tong Sui opened his own profile and saw that it had indeed been updated.
He turned to look at Bai Xingluo.
Bai Xingluo stared at the information for a while before absently opening his personal profile, where Tong Sui’s name also appeared in the male partner section.
As they walked out of the marriage agency, Bai Xingluo finally collected himself.
Tong Sui said, “Next, we need to go somewhere else.”
Tong Sui pulled Bai Xingluo onto a starship, and after a while, they stopped at a photography studio.
In the interstellar era, photography studios were considered a niche business, and Tong Sui had searched for a long time on the Star Network to find this one.
“Are you here for a photo shoot?”
“Not just me; it’s for us.”
Tong Sui led Bai Xingluo into the studio.
Since the studio had to survive in the Empire, they had studied many beautiful settings to attract customers.
When they saw them, the studio owner’s eyes lit up.
Wow!
With such striking customers, it would be impossible to take an unflattering photo!
The owner asked, “Do you have an appointment?”
An employee stepped out, and upon seeing Tong Sui and Bai Xingluo at the door, he was startled, almost falling to his knees. “Boss, am I seeing things?!”
“How rude! The guests are still here,” the boss replied, then turned to the employee who whispered something in his ear.
The owner’s expression shifted from confusion to shock.
“What?”
When the boss turned back, his expression became complex, and he stammered, “Please come in, sirs! I operate on a small scale; if I’ve offended you in any way, please forgive me!”
The boss was older, and as Tong Sui walked in, he reassured, “Don’t be nervous; we’re just here for a simple photo.”
“No problem! You can choose what style you like.”
Tong Sui looked at the beautiful and intricate sets, stopping to think. “Do you have any solid color backgrounds? Pure red.”
The boss was taken aback. “…Pure red?”
It was the first time he had heard such a request and said uneasily, “Do you mean the background like in old ID photos?”
“Yes, is that available? That’s all I want.”
“We have that; I’ll send someone to fetch it.” The boss quickly and carefully wiped the tables and chairs. “Please sit and enjoy some tea while you wait.”
Bai Xingluo whispered, “Why didn’t you choose something prettier? Does red have any significance?”
Tong Sui replied, “In our culture, when people get married, they receive a little booklet with a red couple photo attached.”
He felt a slight sense of unreality, as if just changing their information wasn’t enough.
After chatting for a while, the boss returned with the background.
He held the background carefully.
Tong Sui took Bai Xingluo to stand in front of it, the warm lights shining on them as their shoulders brushed closely against each other.
“Click—”
The moment was frozen in time.
Bai Xingluo looked at the photo in his hand; against the pure red background, it strangely carried an air of solemnity and sacred witness.
He tucked the unique photo into the pocket of his suit, close to his heart.
After leaving the studio, they went to a restaurant.
This was also a place Tong Sui had searched tirelessly for the previous night.
It had a unique design.
Inside the private room, it felt entirely different from the daytime outside; as soon as you entered, you were enveloped in darkness, with a curved starry sky ceiling overhead.
Countless flowing star rivers sparkled like numerous shining gems.
The visuals here were projected in real-time, with shooting stars occasionally crossing the view, each star’s twinkling and fading distinct from one another.
